At the World Diabetes Centre (WDC), we provide specialized care for patients with Type 1 diabetes, many of whom are children and adolescents. We understand that managing Type 1 diabetes affects the whole family, so we offer dedicated counselling for both patients and parents, with special focus on emotional support, coping strategies, and day-to-day challenges.
Our team also provides detailed guidance on insulin therapy, including correct injection techniques, dose adjustments, and lifestyle integration. In addition, we help families understand and use the latest technologies, such as insulin pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems (CGMS), to achieve better control and a more comfortable, confident life with Type 1 diabetes.
